CATASTROPHIC THINKING

The origins of my catastrophic thinking began in the sixth grade when I was assigned to do a book report and chose the book A Night to Remember, by Walter Lord. I had never heard of the Titanic and so read the book not having any preconceptions as to how it would turn out. I found myself wondering if i would have survived and what mentally anyone should do to maximize their survival. Whether reading about extinction events in natural history, or war books, or natural disasters, past or future, this question was always at the front of my mind. Would I survive? Over the years I have accumulated many ideas and rules to assist in my survivability. I have come to call these ideas “Catastrophic Thinking.” The poster is available in the store on this site.
