There is much concern about money as a store of value, especially  with inflation and the possibility of the collapse of governments which sponsor forms of currency.   There has been speculation about the alternative form of cryptocurrency, which is not tied to a particular government.  The problem with cryptocurrency is whether it can survive a catastrophe affecting the web and the electric grid.  In a catastrophe a barter system may emerge which is not reliant on currencies of any sort.  This video examines the forms of “currency” which emerge in a post-cataclysm world.
